A must-read for all new and soon-to-be puppy owners.
The pandemic brought upon us countless new puppies and novice pet owners. There are a ton of things I like to educate my clients on at their first puppy visit, including training. This book will guide you from day 1 to properly socialize and teach your puppy good manners.
Why is socialization so important?
Dogs have a critical window of socialization from three weeks to three months. During this period your pup will naturally be more curious and more willing to adapt to new situations. Outside of this window, your puppy is likely to become more fearful, which can be difficult to counter-condition. This fear can easily spiral out of control and lead to anxiety and aggression.
Why are good manners so important?
Behavioral issues is one of the most common reasons dogs end up in shelters.
