Meet Our Veterinary Team

Dr. Andrew Lee

DVM/Sole Owner

Dr. Andrew Lee is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana, where he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine after earning his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois-Chicago. As a Chicago-area native, he is happy to be helping pets live their best lives in his hometown. Dr. Lee is passionate about forming life-long relationships with clients through education, compassion, and trust. He loves to work with owners to be active participants in their pets’ healthcare.

He lives in the neighborhood with his wife, who is also a veterinarian, their son, and a full house of pets — including Sawyer (a schnauzer with a big personality), Scout (a sweet mixed-breed dog), Lego (a mischievous Siamese cat), and Jim (the house recluse).

In his free time, Dr. Lee likes relaxing with friends and family, exercising (but hates running), fancying a new whiskey, trying new cuisine, and starting a new home improvement project that will never get finished.

Dr. Gail Simpson

DVM

Dr. Simpson was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and has called the city home since graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, she returned to Illinois to fulfill her dream of living and practicing in Chicago.

Dr. Simpson loves the strong sense of community that comes with city living and enjoys building lasting relationships with pets and their families. She believes that exceptional veterinary care is built on partnership and education. She is passionate about ensuring pet parents understand the reasoning behind recommendations, empowering them to make informed decisions about their pets’ health and well-being. Her professional interests include urgent care medicine, behavioral medicine, dentistry, and dermatology. She especially enjoys helping families navigate challenging medical concerns while creating practical, individualized care plans that support both pets and their owners.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Simpson can usually be found spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Lee, her son, and their four pets- two dogs and two cats (Sawyer will tell you he’s number one, but we all know that’s Scout). She loves getting her hands dirty in the garden, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and perfecting a delicious cocktail. As a proud Swiftie, she’s always ready to discuss Taylor’s latest era. You may find her scrolling TikTok in her downtime for some good laughs, a new crafting project or home decorating idea. She and her husband also share a love of travel and enjoy exploring new countries whenever they get the chance.

Whether she’s planning her next getaway, or enjoying time with her family, Dr. Simpson brings the same warmth, curiosity, and enthusiasm to life that she brings to veterinary medicine.

Rebecca

Practice Manager

Rebecca, a Chicago native, developed her love for animals while growing up with several working dogs whose careers were dedicated to helping people. She has experienced first-hand the unconditional love and devotion animals provide for us, inspiring her to break into the animal care industry. As a high school student, her first animal care position involved volunteering to clean bird poop out of cages at a local clinic. Now that’s dedication!

After gaining more experience caring for animals, Rebecca obtained a BS in Biological Sciences from Roosevelt University and she is dedicated to staying on a path of continuous learning and growth. She has worked in the veterinary industry for ten years as both a veterinary technician and an administrator. Despite her experience in emergency and shelter medicine, she is devoted to private small animal practice where she can develop a supportive and collaborative relationship with each pet parent and team member. She values gold-standard medical care as well as attending to each patient with kindness and compassion.

When she’s not at work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and introverted rescue dog, Charlie. She enjoys reading outside, regardless of the crazy Chicago weather, and she loves to try new restaurants and bars around the city. Any place that allows dogs gets 5 stars!
